WHAT IS EAR WAX REMOVAL BY MICROSUCTION?
Ear wax removal by microsuction uses gentle suction to draw any excess wax from your ears. It’s one of the most effective and safest procedures for cleaning your ears. We use specialised equipment to magnify the ear canal allowing direct vision to remove ear wax.
The procedure typically takes up to 20 minutes
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
It is recommended to use drops for up to 5 days before your visit
Important. If you believe that you have wax in your ears, we want to get the best, most comfortable results from your appointment. It is important to soften any wax before you come for your appointment. The best method is to put steralised olive oil drops into your ears twice a day for up to 5 days before you attend the appointment.
Depending on the nature of the wax, ear drops can sometimes make the symptoms feel a little worse while they take effect. This can include the ears feeling more blocked up. This is a sign that the wax is starting to expand and soften as the oil soaks into the wax.
